work + play + laughing all the way

Today was so wonderful, I hit a couple sun showers as I had the pleasure of driving into Kahala to see the owner of my favorite boutique, Super Citizen, we got to chat about some of my new designs and I got a chance to drool over all her new dresses from her latest shopping trip. Then a quick drive into Hawaii Kai to drop off jewelry for a photo shoot with the ever amazing MEswimwear set for later this week. Make sure to check out both these gals, they are not only business savvy, but so creative and driven. I indeed heart them (!)

Here are a few pics from my last Beach2City shoot with MEswimwear.

a Beach by any other name ...

A beach by any other name, kahakai to begin with is the Hawaiian word for Beach and here on Oahu there are endless blue skies and countless beaches to play on. Sandy ones, rocky ones, public ones and of course those few secret beaches. Whether you are searching for beachy treasures or looking to picnic there are endless choices for locals and visitors alike.

Our most recent beach adventure took us just slightly off the beaten path and around the corner from a beautiful resort where the Honu love to nest. We wadded in ponds while searching for sea cucumbers and found beautiful shells and giant corals.

We brought along our newest family member, our Flynn. A 6mnth old American Bull dog we adopted from the Hawaii Humane Society. (There are many pooch friendly beach parks and leash laws are in effect.)

We ate and played the entire afternoon and then finished our day with a long drive around the island, stopping for my favorite treat, Garlic Shrimp. If you are ever on the North Shore you have to stop at the Kahuku Shrimp Truck!

...wait, what? Did you really think I would go an entire post without any jewelry? Here are some little Beachy Treasures that I transformed into Sterling Silver rings, the Beach Glass is from Oahu and Kauai Beaches.

The only question I have for you is, When will your adventure begin?

We just finished a great night at Art and Flea Hawaii. They have a new location at 449 Cooke St. in the Kaka'ako area of Honolulu, and it's amazing! So many great local artists, many of my jewelry students and more!

The Honolulu Festival is this weekend at the Hawaii Convention Center, and Beach2City will have our Pop Up Shop at booth #5 on Sunday March 9th from 10-3pm. We will have sales on all your favorite Beach2City items and you can scoop up some of our newest creations as well. A great Sunday activity to get a little taste of Hawaii!

I love the moment of peace when everything Springs into place
